If someone asks me to define my personal style, I don't have a perfect answer yet, and honestly, that’s okay. Some people have a signature aesthetic that defines them, and while I know I have one too, I just haven’t fully figured it out yet.I love fashion, I just love it. But there are so many aesthetics and I’m still figuring things out exploring, experimenting my style, and finding what truly feels like me, and guess what? I am loving it! It’s exciting!π
I’ve always been drawn to traditional wear, it’s elegant, timeless, and effortlessly beautiful. If I could, I would wear it every day. But I also love mixing things up, creating a traditional-modern fusion that feels more wearable, at the same time, I don’t want to limit myself to just that, I don’t want to box myself into a particular category. I want to explore different aesthetics like minimalism, streetwear, cottagecore, y2k, vintage, or something unexpected. Instead of following a set formula, I want to dress based on what feels right in the moment
For a long time, I thought personal style meant having a well-defined look that never changed. But now, I see that style isn’t about fitting into one category,it’s about evolving, exploring, and embracing change. It's a journey not a destination..
Some days, I love minimal and comfortable outfits while on other days, I want to layer jewelry, try bold elements, or experiment with statement pieces, it basically depends on my mood & situation, I’m learning to go with what feels right rather than sticking to a set idea of what my style should be.
Along the way, I’ve learned a few things:
✅ It’s okay if you are in your 'still figuring out phase' Your style is bound to evolve and change just like YOU grow and change, one's taste and preference both vary as time passes, its normal. There’s no rush to define it too soon, so just stay calm and keep experimenting.
✅ Confidence matters more than the outfit. π Some clothes may look great but don’t feel right, and voila! that’s when you know they’re not for you. The best outfits aren’t just about appearance, they’re about how you feel wearing them. And if nothing else, at least you learnt what doesnt work for you, which is still a progress!☺π
✅ There are no rules. Some people have fixed aesthetics, while some mix styles freely. You should do what screams you, what feels right for youπ«΅.
"Fall in love with the process of finding your style♡"
If you’re still figuring out your style, here’s my advice: experiment without overthinking it. Try different combinations, mix elements, and notice what makes you feel your best because style isn’t something you "find" once and stick with forever, it’s something you create, evolve, and redefine over time, it’s about self- expression.
❤❤❤
So if you’re on this journey like me, let’s embrace it together✨️! How would you describe your style right now? Are you still exploring, or have you found your signature look? Let me know in the comment section! π¬π
